Special features: This limited single malt whisky from the Isle of Raasay Distillery has been fully matured for the first time in rare Marsala Vergine barriques from the historic Sicilian winery Frazzitta. These casks, which have been soaked with dry Marsala wine for up to 30 years, impart an extraordinary depth and complexity to the whisky.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Inviting aromas of grape must, sweet with a slight spiciness and a hint of Parma violets.
- Palate: Full-bodied with notes of baked apple, apricots, ginger, maple syrup, sweet pear, and a touch of balsamic vinegar.
- Finish: Long and lingering with a smoky toffee aftertaste.
