Special features: The Macaloney's Killeigh Single Pot Still Whisky is a masterpiece of Canadian distilling. It is made from a careful blend of unmalted and malted barley and is triple distilled in pot stills, resulting in a complex and balanced distillate. The aging takes place in a combination of Kentucky Bourbon barrels, European Moscatel wine casks, and Virgin American Oak casks, giving the whisky remarkable depth and variety. Bottled in February 2024, this limited edition is restricted to only 325 bottles.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Inviting aromas of cream soda, gentle vanilla, and oak, accompanied by apricot, pear, and a hint of banana. Accents of ground grain and honey blend with delicate white wine notes and maritime facets.
• Palate: Full-bodied and fruity with hints of lychee, mandarin, and honey again, along with malt notes.
• Finish: Long-lasting with wood spices, vanilla, coconut, and cinnamon, combined with nutmeg, light Moscatel wine notes, crème fraîche, roasted hazelnuts, sea salt, and oak aromas.

Distillery/Bottler: The Macaloney's Island Distillery in Victoria, Canada, was founded by Scottish whisky enthusiast Dr. Graeme Macaloney. His passion for the "water of life" was discovered at a young age during a summer job as a whisky bottler. In building the distillery, he received support from whisky greats such as former Diageo Master Distiller Mike Nicolson and renowned whisky expert Dr. Jim Swan (†2017).
