For the Return to Oz series, That Boutique-y Whisky Company selected a five-year-old Overeem matured in an ex-Apera cask. Batch 3 comprises 522 bottles. The whisky was bottled at 50% in bottles of 0.5 litres, without chill filtration or added colouring.

The illustrated label alludes to the film poster for Star Wars: A New Hope. Its Australian setting also features the venomous jack jumper ant, found particularly in Tasmania and the south-east of mainland Australia. The bottling comes with gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, bold dark chocolate, dried fruit, plums and raisins combine with hazelnuts, nutmeg and cinnamon. A hint of mint complements the chocolate note.
• Palate: On the palate, the whisky is viscous, powerful and balanced. Dark chocolate is followed by hazelnuts and raisins before peppery spices emerge.
• Finish: The long finish remains spicy and fades with a subtle pepper note.

Distillery/Bottler:

Casey Overeem founded the Overeem distillery in Tasmania. After he stepped back, Lark took over the business; whisky production was later moved there as well. Casey's daughter Jane and her husband Mark subsequently established Sawford Distillery and brought the Overeem brand back into family ownership.

That Boutique-y Whisky Company is an independent bottler that selects whiskies from distilleries around the world and also creates its own blends. Its selection includes unusual bottlings whose character differs from a distillery's customary style. The hand-drawn labels explore stories and distinctive aspects of each whisky's origins.
