Speyburn Bourbon Cask is an easy-going Speyside single malt matured in ex-bourbon casks. The choice of casks brings together the distillery's light, clean character with gentle oak notes, vanilla and mellow sweetness. Bottled at 40%, it remains approachable while retaining its fruity freshness.
This bottling offers an introduction to the Speyburn style. It joined the revamped core range in 2024 alongside Rum Cask Finish. Speyburn dispensed with outer packaging for Bourbon Cask to reduce packaging use.

John Hopkins founded Speyburn in 1897 in a narrow valley near Rothes. The Granty Burn and its water were decisive in choosing the site. Hopkins commissioned architect Charles C. Doig to adapt the distillery to the steep terrain. Rather than spreading the buildings outwards, Doig arranged the distillery over three levels.
Speyburn has belonged to Inver House Distillers, the Scottish production division of International Beverage, since 1992. The distillery continues to produce its single malt at the historic site. Bourbon Cask is an official bottling of the Speyburn brand.
