Special Features:

Five types of wine cask shape this Teeling Single Malt: Sherry, Port, Madeira, white Burgundy and Cabernet Sauvignon. Malt whiskeys of different ages, made entirely from malted barley, are brought together. Combining these different cask influences forms part of the maturation and finishing approach for this bottling, which carries no age statement.

The whiskey is bottled at 46% without chill filtration. Fruity, sweet notes contrast with a spicy, dry woody character. The 0.7-litre bottle comes in a presentation tube.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, melon and figs mingle with toffee and lemon.
• Palate: On the palate, dried fruit and citrus notes meet vanilla and clove spice.
• Finish: The long finish combines sweetness with dry wood tannins. Floral and herbal notes linger alongside caramel.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Teeling family's connection with Dublin whiskey-making dates back to 1782, when Walter Teeling founded a distillery on Marrowbone Lane. Jack and Stephen Teeling began building on this heritage in 2012. Their distillery, opened in 2015, stands in The Liberties, the city's historic distilling district, close to the family's original site.

For the early Teeling Single Malt, the company drew on mature stocks from Cooley Distillery, founded by John Teeling in 1987. Selecting and combining different wine cask types allowed it to establish a distinctive style before the new Dublin distillery could produce mature whiskeys of its own.
