Tomintoul 10 Year Old matures exclusively in selected American oak ex-bourbon barrels. This cask selection complements a finely balanced, sweet and fruity character that brings together honey, citrus and vanilla.

This non-smoky Speyside single malt is an official distillery bottling. It is offered at 40% alcohol in a 0.7-litre bottle and comes in a presentation tube.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose is delicate and floral. Acacia honey and vanilla mingle with wholegrain toast and gentle woody spice.
• Palate: Sweetness and honey unfold on the palate alongside crème caramel and toasted almonds. Lemon zest and grassy freshness provide a contrast.
• Finish: Sweetness comes to the fore again on the finish, quickly followed by tingling spice.

Distillery/Bottler:

Founded in 1965, Tomintoul Distillery stands on the Glenlivet Estate in the Cairngorms National Park. It takes its name from the nearby village of Tomintoul, the highest village in the Scottish Highlands. The distillery uses soft water from the Ballantruan spring and tall stills to make its whisky.

Master Distiller Robert Fleming comes from a family that has made whisky in Speyside for four generations. Together with his team, he has shaped production at Tomintoul for more than 30 years. The nickname “the gentle dram” reflects the distillery’s gentle, balanced style.
