Special Features:

This 0.05-litre miniature presents the ten-year-old Tomintoul Speyside Single Malt in a compact tasting size with its own tube. It contains the distillery bottling at 40%.

The whisky matures exclusively in hand-selected ex-bourbon barrels made from American oak. This focused maturation complements the mild, balanced style that Tomintoul calls “the gentle dram”.

Honeyed sweetness, vanilla and caramel meet fresh citrus, toasted almonds, gentle wood spice and mild baking spices. The miniature therefore offers the complete character of the ten-year-old expression in a small format.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, acacia honey, vanilla and wholemeal toast mingle with gentle wood spices.
• Palate: On the palate, crème caramel and toasted almond meet lemon zest and grassy freshness.
• Finish: The finish begins with sweetness, followed by a tingling spiciness. Buttery oak, citrus peel and mild baking spices shape the lingering aftertaste.

Distillery/Bottler:

Tomintoul Distillery was founded in 1965 near the village of Tomintoul in Cairngorms National Park. Soft water from the Ballantruan spring and the distillery’s tall stills are among the foundations of its mild, balanced whisky style. Master Distiller Robert Fleming represents the fourth generation of a Speyside distilling family and has overseen Tomintoul for more than 30 years. Together with his team, he makes the single malts using traditional methods. Angus Dundee Distillers includes Tomintoul in its portfolio of distilleries and brands and also operates a production and bottling facility in Coatbridge.
