Special Features:

This 14-year-old Speyside single malt matured entirely in a single ex-Sherry cask from 2010 to 2024. Hidden Spirits bottled the whisky from cask TM1024 in 2024 at 52.2%; it has no added colour, is not chill-filtered and is available in a bottle containing 0.7 litres.

The Sherry influence complements apple and pear with honey, vanilla, dried fruit and nuts. Caramel, malt and creamy vanilla emerge on the palate, while the smooth finish closes with gentle maltiness and subtle peppery spice.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, apple and pear mingle with honey and a touch of vanilla. Dried fruit and toasted nut notes add further accents.
• Palate: The whisky is richly textured and balanced on the palate. Caramel and honey combine with substantial malt, Sherry sweetness and creamy vanilla.
• Finish: The finish lingers with gentle maltiness. Subtle pepper adds spicy depth to the smooth texture at the close.

Distillery/Bottler:

Tomintoul Distillery distilled this Speyside single malt in 2010. Founded in 1965, the distillery is located near the village of Tomintoul in Cairngorms National Park. The soft water from the Ballantruan spring and its tall stills are central to the distillery’s balanced house style.

Andrea Ferrari founded Hidden Spirits in 2013. As an independent Italian bottler, the company selects casks of Scottish single malts for its own releases; for this edition, it was responsible for selecting cask TM1024 and bottling the whisky in 2024.
