Special Features:

Tomintoul Cigar Malt brings together classic and rare peated single malts from the same distillery. The selected whiskies were either matured entirely in Oloroso sherry butts or finished in them. These hand-selected casks come from Andalusia in Spain.

The combination of sweet sherry notes, creamy malt character and gentle peat smoke is designed to accompany cigars. The whisky has an alcohol content of 43%, comes in a bottle containing 0.7 litres and is presented in a tube.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals pronounced dried fruit aromas and sweet spices, with hints of pecan pie and a delicate note of peat smoke.
• Palate: The whisky is rich and sweet on the palate. Chocolate-covered raisins, buttery toffee and blackberries mingle with black pepper and smoky notes of wood and spice.
• Finish: The long finish is warming, with mocha, maple syrup and toasted oak lingering on the palate.

Distillery/Bottler:

Founded in 1965, Tomintoul Distillery lies near the village of the same name in Cairngorms National Park. It uses soft water from the Ballantruan spring and tall stills to make its whisky. Master Distiller Robert Fleming and his team are responsible for producing Tomintoul single malts. Fleming is the fourth generation of a family of Speyside distillers and has overseen the distillery for more than thirty years.
