Tomintoul Seiridh matures in former Bourbon Barrels made from American oak before being finished in selected Oloroso Sherry Butts from Jerez in Andalusia. This finishing period adds aromatic depth and richness to its character. Dried fruit, sweet pastry notes and nuts meet spicy wood accents.

Seiridh is the Gaelic word for sherry and is pronounced approximately “sheh-ree”. This single malt is not smoky and comes at 40% in a bottle containing 0.7 litres, with a presentation tube included.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals generous sultana aromas, butterscotch and candied pecans.
• Palate: The whisky is sweet and full-bodied on the palate. Dried figs and Christmas fruitcake are accompanied by delicate cedar spice.
• Finish: The finish combines baking spices and cocoa with ripe banana, vanilla panna cotta and jam.

Distillery/Bottler:

Founded in 1965, Tomintoul Distillery lies near the village of the same name in the Cairngorms National Park. Tomintoul is the highest village in the Scottish Highlands, while the distillery belongs to the Speyside whisky region. It uses soft water from the Ballantruan spring for its whiskies. Its tall stills contribute to the gentle, balanced house style.

Master Distiller Robert Fleming is the fourth generation of his family to distil whisky in Speyside. He has overseen Tomintoul for more than 30 years and, together with his team, is responsible for producing its single malts.
