Special Features:

A finish in casks previously used for sweet Spanish wine complements this Bushmills whiskey's maturation in bourbon and sherry casks. The ten-year-old Irish Single Malt is triple-distilled from 100% malted barley. The 2024 Vino Dulce bottling has an alcohol content of 43% and comes in a 0.7-litre bottle with a presentation tube.

Exotic fruit and warm spice notes complement the sweetness of honey and vanilla. Milk chocolate and toffee mingle with fruity and floral impressions. The whiskey feels smooth and full-bodied on the palate; the finish combines tart fruit notes with subtle oak spice and lingering sweetness.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose initially reveals sweet notes of vanilla, honey and mandarin, accompanied by malt, forest berries and fresh orange. After a few moments, a slightly peppery spiciness emerges.
• Palate: On the palate, milk chocolate, vanilla and toffee combine with mango, pineapple and apricot. Ginger and cinnamon complement the fruit, while oak and floral notes add further accents.
• Finish: Delicate tart fruit notes and subtle oak spice remain on the finish. Sweetness lingers on the palate.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Old Bushmills Distillery is located in the town of the same name in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Its history is linked to the regional distilling licence granted to Sir Thomas Phillipps in 1608. Bushmills continued to use copper pot stills and malted barley; triple distillation remains part of its single malt production today. The distillery was rebuilt after a major fire in 1885.

The Old Bushmills Distillery has belonged to Proximo Spirits since 2016. Alex Thomas joined Bushmills in 2005 and became Master Blender in 2021. The opening of the Causeway Distillery in 2023 increased Bushmills' production capacity; the new distillery uses electricity exclusively from renewable sources. The Vino Dulce edition is an official Bushmills bottling.
