Volume: 1 litre | Alcohol content: 40% | Chill filtration: Yes | Colouring: Yes
Special Features:
Bushmills Original combines triple-distilled malt whiskey with lighter grain whiskey. Its recipe dates back to before Prohibition. The whiskey matures in bourbon and sherry casks. Fruity notes meet vanilla, which develops into impressions of vanilla ice cream and crème brûlée. This bottling contains 1 litre at 40% alcohol.
The blend can be enjoyed neat and also works as a base for classic whiskey cocktails.
Tasting Notes:
Distillery/Bottler:
The Old Bushmills Distillery is located in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It distils its malt whiskey and also handles maturation, blending and bottling at the same site. Water for whiskey production comes from Saint Columb's Rill, a tributary of the River Bush.
The company behind Bushmills is The Old Bushmills Distillery Company Limited. The Bushmills whiskey tradition dates back to 1608.
