Powers Three Swallow ohne Tube

Volume: 0.7 litres | Alcohol content: 40% | Chill filtration: Yes | Colouring: Yes

Special Features:

Powers Three Swallow draws on the historic whiskey style of the former John’s Lane Distillery. It is made from malted and unmalted barley and triple-distilled in traditional copper pot stills. Maturation takes place mainly in second- and third-fill bourbon casks, while a smaller proportion of whiskey matured in sherry casks completes the composition.

Its aromatic profile combines cinnamon, nutmeg and maple syrup with banana and dry oak. Toasted almonds and brown sugar lead into malt loaf and fragrant spices.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, cinnamon and warm nutmeg mingle with maple syrup, baked banana and a delicate trace of dry oak.
• Palate: On the palate, toasted almonds and crisp brown sugar meet melted butter and a hint of toasted marshmallow.
• Finish: The finish fades gently with malt loaf and fragrant spices.

Distillery/Bottler:

The history of Powers began in 1791 at the John’s Lane Distillery in Dublin. The company introduced its Gold Label bottling in 1886, and production moved to the Midleton Distillery in County Cork in 1975.

Irish Distillers produces Powers Three Swallow in Midleton. This bottling presents the Single Pot Still style historically associated with John’s Lane in a modern expression.
