Special features: This blended malt whisky combines fine Japanese and Scottish whisky, which has been refined in French wine casks. The combination of distillates from the Chichibu Distillery and the former Hanyu Distillery, complemented by Scottish malt whisky, gives this drop a special depth and complexity. The finishing in French wine casks provides additional aromas and a harmonious balance.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Intense aromas of red fruits like cherries and strawberries, accompanied by vanilla and a hint of chocolate. Subtle spice notes and floral accents complement the bouquet.
- Palate: Soft and full-bodied with a harmonious balance of sweet and fruity elements. Notes of dark berries, dried fruits, and caramel meet spicy accents of cinnamon and cloves, along with a subtle wood note.

Distillery/Bottler: The Chichibu Distillery was founded in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto, the grandson of the Hanyu Distillery founder. It is located in Saitama Prefecture, about 100 km northwest of Tokyo. The distillery is known for its fruity and balanced whiskies, which impress through the use of various cask types and the combination of tradition and innovation.
