The maturation takes place in a combination of Swedish oak, ex-bourbon, Oloroso, and American oak. This whisky is characterized by an alcohol content of 46.1% and is offered in a gift packaging. Additionally, the bottling is not chill-filtered, which influences the development of flavors.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, there is a fruity and slightly sweet aroma with oak, honey, and toffee. These notes are accompanied by pear, apple, and citrus fruits, as well as a hint of toasted bread.
• Palate: On the palate, fruity citrus notes dominate again. Elegant sweetness from caramel and honey combines with the spice of Swedish oak and hints of sandalwood, dried ginger, and black pepper.
• Finish: The finish is pleasant and round, with a fine hint of chocolate.

Distillery/Bottler: Mackmyra Svensk Whisky AB is a Swedish whisky producer founded in 1999. The Mackmyra Distillery is located in Gävle, Sweden, and is known for using locally sourced ingredients as well as innovative maturation methods. The maturation of Mackmyra Svensk Ek takes place partially in the Bodås mine, 50 meters underground, which contributes to the unique flavor development of the whisky.
