This A’bunadh Limited Edition launches Aberlour’s Sherry Cask Collection. It is the first of three special editions planned for annual release. Sherry is central to the whisky, which is finished in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez casks. It is bottled at a cask strength of 56.2%, without chill filtration or added colouring.
From red apple, blackberry and sultanas through to demerara sugar, cinnamon and ginger, followed by blackcurrant, spiced pear, dates, raisins and star anise, the sherry influence runs through the nose, palate and finish.

Aberlour Distillery bottles the A’bunadh range at cask strength, and this limited edition is also an official distillery bottling. A’bunadh means “the original” in Gaelic and is intended as a tribute to founder James Fleming. The distillery is located in the Speyside village of Aberlour, at the confluence of the Lour Burn and the River Spey.
