Aberlour Suthainn is an edition created exclusively for travel retail. This single malt matures through a Double Sherry Cask Solera process in American and Spanish oak sherry casks and is bottled at 48% ABV.

This 0.7-litre bottling is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colour.

Baked blackcurrant and apple pie open the aromatic profile, followed by toffee apple, pear candy, strawberry, creamy oak and butterscotch. Vanilla, cinnamon, marzipan and aromatic spices complement its fruity, sweet character.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose combines baked blackcurrant and apple pie with vanilla, cinnamon and marzipan.
• Palate: On the palate, toffee apples and pear candy lead to fresh strawberry, creamy oak, butterscotch and warming spices.
• Finish: The finish remains sweet and creamy before fading with aromatic spice.

Distillery/Bottler:

Suthainn comes from Aberlour Distillery. The distillery makes its single malts with soft water from the nearby Birkenbush Springs and barley sourced from farms within a maximum radius of 15 miles.

Sherry casks are central to Aberlour’s house style. Spanish oak casks are made to the distillery’s specifications and seasoned with Oloroso; for its whisky, Aberlour combines sherry-cask maturation with American oak.
