Aberlour Triple Cask draws on whisky matured in two different types of American oak cask previously used for bourbon, as well as European oak casks previously used for sherry. This variant has a French label and comes without gift packaging. The bottle contains 0.7 litres, and the whisky is bottled at 40% alcohol.

Its profile brings together honey and pear with vanilla caramel, orange and red apple. Toasted almonds and liquorice add nutty and spicy accents. This single malt is not smoky; it is chill-filtered and contains no added colouring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, honey, ripe pear and vanilla caramel combine in a fruity, sweet impression.
• Palate: On the palate, sweet-tart orange and red apple meet liquorice and toasted almonds.
• Finish: The medium-to-long finish retains butterscotch and dark fruit alongside gentle oak spice. It feels rounded and soft, becomes slightly drier towards the end, then fades with warmth.

Distillery/Bottler:

Aberlour Distillery stands beside the Lour in the Speyside village of the same name. James Fleming founded it in 1879. The distillery uses barley from the region and water from the Birkenbush springs for its whiskies; American oak and sherry casks are part of its maturation programme.

Triple Cask is an official Aberlour bottling. Chivas Brothers Limited operates the brand within the Pernod Ricard group.
