Almave Blanco Blue Agave Spirit 0,0% (Lewis Hamilton)

Volume: 0.7 litres | Alcohol content: 0% | Colouring: No

Special Features:

Almave Blanco centres on the flavour of blue agave from the Los Altos highlands in Jalisco. Agave distillates are blended to create this clear, alcohol-free alternative, balancing sweetness, herbal notes and acidity. Grassy and vegetal impressions complement its agave character.

Production draws on tequila-making techniques but omits the fermentation that produces alcohol. Instead, the processed agave is distilled several times to capture its delicate aromas and flavours. Almave Blanco works as an alternative to tequila in a Margarita or Paloma and can also be enjoyed over ice.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals fresh agave accompanied by fruity and green, vegetal notes.
• Palate: Fresh agave takes the lead on the palate. Mineral and spicy nuances complement the interplay of agave sweetness and acidity, with a subtle bite and slight bitterness adding further accents.
• Finish: Herbal and menthol notes linger on the finish, which feels fresh and light.

Distillery/Bottler:

Almave is the creation of Lewis Hamilton and Master Distiller Dr. Iván Saldaña Oyarzábal of Casa Lumbre. Hamilton was looking for an alcohol-free alternative with agave's distinctive flavour and approached Saldaña. Saldaña brought more than twenty years of experience with the agave plant and the production of tequila and mezcal to its development.

Almave is produced in Jalisco, Mexico. The harvested agave hearts are cooked in brick ovens and then crushed using traditional methods. The agave fibres also go into the copper stills for distillation. This approach retains important steps in the region's agave processing traditions, while the specially developed process requires no fermentation.
