Special features: This limited release of Amrut Greedy Angels represents a masterful combination of traditional maturation and innovative cask aging. After more than six years in former Pedro-Ximénez sherry casks, the whisky was transferred to ex-bourbon casks, resulting in a unique flavor development. With only 240 bottles worldwide, this edition is a true collector's item.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: A complex bouquet of dark plums, dried plums, and melons, accompanied by notes of coconut, marzipan, and dark chocolate. A hint of vanilla and sweet orange rounds off the aroma.
- Palate: The first impression is dominated by dark chocolate, followed by marzipan and golden syrup notes. Creamy vanilla and honey blend with tropical fruits and delicate citrus notes. A touch of mint adds depth to the flavor.
- Finish: A long-lasting finish with a refreshing mint note and a lingering impression of barley oil.
