This Founders Selection Man O' Sword comes exclusively from first-fill bourbon cask 211. Distilled in 2017, the whisky matured for six years before being bottled in 2023 as a single-cask release at its natural cask strength of 60.7%. It is neither chill-filtered nor coloured. Man O' Sword is Annandale's peated range.

The aroma combines earthy peat smoke with malt and vanilla. On the palate, dried fruit and sweet bourbon spice meet smoke and vanilla. The long, warm finish fades with smoke, fruit and sweetness from the wood.

Distillery/Bottler:

Annandale distilled the whisky; it matured in Cask 211 and was bottled by the distillery as an official single-cask release. The company responsible is Annandale Distillery Company LTD.

The distillery was built between 1830 and 1836 and closed in 1918. Professor David Thomson and Teresa Church restored the operation, and Annandale resumed production on 9 November 2014. The peated Man O' Sword range is named after Robert the Bruce. Because Annandale does not marry the whisky in its single-cask releases with whisky from other casks, the whisky from Bourbon Cask 211 retains its individual cask character.
