Special features: This limited single cask whisky from the renowned Annandale Distillery matured for nearly six years in a former bourbon cask and was bottled at a robust 60.4% ABV. The "Man O' Sword" releases are a tribute to the Scottish warrior and former king Robert the Bruce.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Fresh orchard fruits like apples and pears, accompanied by creamy vanilla, caramel, and a hint of blackcurrants as well as light notes of smoldering wood.
- Palate: Delightfully sweet and creamy caramel, vanilla, hazelnuts, and a touch of smoldering wood notes on the palate.
- Finish: Persistent with medicinal accents, along with notes of iodine and pears.
Distillery/Bottler: The Annandale Distillery, founded in 1830, was revived in 2014 and has since produced both unpeated and peated single malts.
