Annandale Storyman 2nd Edition Blended Scotch Whisky
Special features: This second edition of the Storyman Blended Scotch Whisky was created in collaboration between the renowned Annandale Distillery and Scottish actor James Cosmo, known from "Game of Thrones". The whisky combines the unpeated Man O' Words and the peated Man O' Swords single malts from the distillery and matured in a mix of fresh and reused ex-bourbon and ex-Pinot Noir STR casks. It was bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration and without the addition of colorants.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Aromas of creamy toffee and caramel, accompanied by vanilla and a hint of black pepper. A delicate note of peat smoke lingers in the background.
- Palate: Fruity notes of pear and apricot combine with creamy vanilla and a gentle touch of smoke.
- Finish: A medium-length finish with hints of apple peel and oatmeal cookies.
Distillery/Bottler: The Annandale Distillery, founded in 1836, was reopened in 2014 and has been producing award-winning single malts since then. The Storyman series is a tribute to Scottish history and literature, inspired by figures such as Robert Burns and Robert the Bruce.
