Special Features:
Another Hendrick’s combines orange blossom and cocoa with Hendrick’s familiar rose and cucumber infusion. Floral and citrus impressions contrast with the velvety depth of cocoa. Master Distiller Lesley Gracie developed the recipe from her love of chocolate and flowers, drawing inspiration from the greenhouses at the Hendrick’s Gin Palace.
In February 2026, Another Hendrick’s joined the permanent range as its first new permanent bottling in nine years. Its white bottle also sets it apart visually from classic Hendrick’s. This version contains 0.7 litres and has an alcohol content of 44%.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: On the nose, juniper, bright citrus notes and orange blossom mingle with a light sweetness. Rose and cucumber remain discernible, accompanied by a subtle chocolate note.
- Palate: The opening is slightly sweet, with cucumber, lightly peppery juniper and a hint of chocolate sweets. The creamy, almost oily mouthfeel becomes more pronounced on the mid-palate. Cocoa and floral orange notes emerge more clearly, while peppery juniper and a little cucumber peel also become more prominent.
- Finish: The finish initially shows a little juniper. Dark chocolate notes then linger, allowing the cocoa to resonate.
Distillery/Bottler:
Hendrick’s is made at the Gin Palace in Girvan, on the Ayrshire coast of south-west Scotland. As Master Distiller, Lesley Gracie shapes the development of the gins. Two different distillation methods underpin the house style: in the Bennett stills, the botanicals steep in alcohol for at least 14 hours before distillation begins. In the Carter-Head stills, alcohol vapour passes through a basket of botanicals, picking up their aromatic compounds.
The two distillates are then blended together. Rose and cucumber essences complement the distilled botanical base. The historical models for the equipment are a Bennett still from the 1860s and a Carter-Head from 1948, which Charles Gordon acquired at auction in 1966. Today’s stills are also operated manually.
