The Càraid Ìleach Edition No. 2 is a limited bottling for the German market. This Islay single malt was matured entirely in Pedro Ximénez quarter casks; the edition comprises 2,613 bottles, and the whisky was bottled at 50%.
Full maturation in PX casks combines dark fruit and sherry sweetness with maritime peat and smoke. The whisky retains its natural colour and was not chill-filtered.

Ardnahoe Distillery is located in north-eastern Islay beside Loch Ardnahoe. Its first distillation runs began in October 2018; since then, the distillery has produced its own peated Islay malt.
For the Càraid Ìleach Edition No. 2, Andrew and Scott Laing selected the PX quarter casks together with Hanseatische Weinhandelsgesellschaft. The whisky is a distillery bottling.
