Special Features:

This whisky was distilled in May 2013 and matured for twelve years in a first-fill hogshead. North Star Spirits released it in August 2025 as part of Cask Series 026 at its natural cask strength of 57.7%. The cask yielded 251 bottles. No colouring was added, and the whisky was not chill-filtered.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Mossy and damp, earthy nuances contrast with peach and apricot. Wildflowers, mild honey, crisp apple and pear appear alongside lemon peel, vanilla and gentle malty warmth.
• Palate: The whisky is creamy and powerful on the palate. Salty oats, a little brown sugar and a delicately dry peach note combine with pear, apple compote, barley sugar and creamy toffee. Citrus fruit, spices, warm pastries, light oak, white pepper and a gentle herbal nuance add further definition. A little water brings the fruit and a silky sweetness more clearly to the fore.
• Finish: The long, clean finish remains dry, combining honeyed malt with gentle spice and fresh fruit. A restrained fruity sweetness lingers at the end.

Distillery/Bottler:

Aultmore Distillery is located near Keith in Speyside. Founded by Alexander Edward, it began production in 1897. Its name refers to the Auchinderran Burn, which supplies the distillery with water. Much of its malt is destined for blends, so independently presented Aultmore single malts are comparatively rare. The distillery has been closely associated with Dewar's since 1923 and now forms part of Bacardi’s Scotch whisky portfolio through John Dewar & Sons.

North Star Spirits is a family-run independent bottler founded in Glasgow by Iain Croucher in 2016. The company carefully selects casks of Scotch whisky and releases them as individual bottlings.
