Special Features:

This liqueur combines creamy-tasting butterscotch with blended malt whisky. The whisky used matured for five years in Bourbon Hogsheads. Caramel and vanilla define its creamy, sweet character; the recipe is vegan and contains no artificial additives.

Edelobstbrennerei Schleihauf GmbH in Eppingen produces the liqueur.

Founder Adrian Clausing established Böser Kater after taking over the family business as the third generation. The business has more than 40 years of distilling experience and originally focused on liqueurs and spirits made from local fruit. Clausing initially expanded the range to include gin, followed by other spirits. Its new production facility was completed in 2025: larger production and storage areas provide room to develop the range further, while a dedicated event space allows tastings to take place on site.
