Tre Kors is composed of Ugni Blanc from the Fins Bois and Petite Champagne crus and matures for at least two years in Limousin oak. This maturation shapes both its vanilla notes and its fresh oak character. This version contains 0.7 litres, is bottled at 40% and comes in gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose opens with vanilla from the Limousin oak, followed by citrus fruit and spice.
• Palate: The Cognac is delicate and fruity on the palate.
• Finish: The finish is long and fresh.

Distillery/Bottler:

Maison Bache-Gabrielsen was established in Cognac in 1905, when Thomas Bache-Gabrielsen and his Norwegian partner Peter Rustad acquired the existing Cognac house A. Edmond Dupuy. The house works with winegrowers who distil their own eaux-de-vie. Bache-Gabrielsen selects, matures and blends these into Cognacs such as Tre Kors. Oak selection and humidity in the ageing cellars are among the factors it carefully controls. Since 2015, the house has had its own cellars for storage, maturation and blending in Louzac-Saint-André, near Cognac.

The name “Tre Kors” means “three crosses” and recalls Norwegian prohibition from 1916 to 1926. As alcohol was then available only through pharmacies, Thomas Bache-Gabrielsen replaced the traditional three stars on the bottles with three red crosses. Today, these crosses appear in white on the label.
