Special features: The Ben Nevis 10 years is a limited release from the renowned Ben Nevis Distillery. This single malt matured for 10 years in selected oak casks and was bottled without coloring or chill-filtering to preserve its natural purity and authenticity.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Inviting aromas of ripe citrus fruits such as lemons and oranges, accompanied by sweet heather honey and beeswax. In the background, notes of vanilla fudge and delicate shortbread unfold.
- Palate: Full-bodied and creamy with a pleasant spiciness. Flavors of muesli and fresh oats combine with dark chocolate and light roasted notes.
- Finish: Medium-long and spicy, with elegant hints of freshly cut oak wood, muesli, and citrus fruits.
Distillery/Bottler: The Ben Nevis Distillery was founded in 1825 by "Long" John McDonald and is located at the foot of the highest mountain in Scotland, which shares its name. Since 1989, it has been part of the Japanese Nikka Group. The distillery is known for its robust and characterful whiskies, which are produced using traditional methods and pure spring water from the surrounding mountains.
