Distilled in 2013, this Benriach matured for twelve years in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks and bourbon casks. Signatory Vintage released the Speyside single malt in 2025 at 57.1% as number 69 in the 100 Proof Edition. This 0.7-litre bottling is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colouring.

Caramelised baked apple, apricot, honey, marzipan and orange peel form the fruity, sweet side. Sherry and dark dried fruit define the powerful core, while walnut, dark toffee, liquorice and pepper lead into oak, leather and dry tobacco in the long finish.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, caramelised baked apple, ripe apricots and honey mingle with marzipan, dark raisins, walnut and cinnamon, while a touch of orange peel adds freshness.
• Palate: On the palate, sherry and dark dried fruit meet walnut, dark toffee and lively peppery heat with considerable intensity. Vanilla custard and the bitter sweetness of liquorice complement the rich mouthfeel.
• Finish: The long finish combines melting toffee with oak spice and fruity sherry sweetness, followed by lingering leather, dry tobacco and warm spices.

Distillery/Bottler:

John Duff founded the Benriach Distillery in 1898 on the site of the old Riach Farm in northern Speyside. Following its closure from 1900 to 1965, malt whisky production resumed there. Benriach traditionally works with unpeated, peated and triple-distilled spirit and uses a variety of cask types; its water comes from a mineral-rich aquifer beneath the distillery.

Signatory Vintage created this bottling from whisky matured in Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks. Andrew Symington founded the independent bottler in Edinburgh in 1988 and acquired the Edradour Distillery in 2002. By 2007, Signatory had moved its entire operation to Edradour’s site in Pitlochry, where storage capacity for more than 20,000 casks was later established.
