Special Features:

The finish in a first-fill Amontillado hogshead shapes the character of this limited single-cask bottling from Signatory Vintage’s Cask Strength Collection. Distilled on 10 February 2015, the Benriach matured for a total of eleven years, with cask 101 providing the final Amontillado influence. Signatory Vintage bottled it on 17 March 2026 at its natural colour, without chill filtration and at a cask strength of 58.4%. The cask yielded 341 bottles.

The profile combines walnut and hazelnut with cedarwood, sherry spices and dark chocolate. Ripe fruit and raisins meet oily malt and dry, nutty oak.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Intense walnut and hazelnut emerge on the nose, accompanied by cedarwood and delicate sherry spices, while dark chocolate and ripe fruit form the backdrop.
• Palate: The whisky is powerful and dry on the palate, with nutty sherry notes, raisins and dark chocolate complemented by gentle wood spice and an oily malt core.
• Finish: The finish is medium to long, remaining dry, woody and nutty, with lingering sherry and dark fruit.

Distillery/Bottler:

Benriach stands in northern Speyside on the site of the former Riach Farm and draws water from the mineral-rich aquifer beneath the distillery. During mashing, the distillery uses four water additions to extract as much sweetness as possible from the barley. Benriach produces classic unpeated, Highland-peated and triple-distilled whisky. Its stills are run slowly, extending the middle cut and encouraging high ester levels that shape the distillery’s fruit-forward character.

As an independent bottler, Signatory Vintage is responsible for this cask-strength, single-cask Benriach bottling. Andrew Symington and his brother founded the company in 1988. After Andrew Symington acquired Edradour Distillery in 2002, Signatory moved its operations entirely to the distillery’s site near Pitlochry by 2007.
