Special Features:

The 24-month finish in a first-fill Sauvignon Blanc barrique gives this twelve-year-old single-cask release its distinctive character. The whisky was distilled on 15 January 2013 and bottled from cask 2311807/2013 on 29 August 2025 at 55.6%; the release comprises 301 bottles.

Ripe tropical fruit, delicate floral notes and vanilla form the fruity and floral aromatic core, while oak spice provides structure. White grapes and a subtle vinous character complement the profile, and its pronounced oiliness lends it body.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose combines gooseberry and lemon peel with green apple, white grapes, vanilla and a hint of toasted bread.
• Palate: The whisky is distinctly oily on the palate. Green apple, citrus fruit and pear mingle with honey, peppery spice and a touch of oak.
• Finish: The short, fresh finish reveals dried fruit.

Distillery/Bottler:

Benrinnes Distillery is located near Aberlour on the northern flank of Ben Rinnes in Speyside. Its origins date back to 1826. After a flood largely destroyed the buildings in 1829, a new distillery was established at the present site in 1835. Benrinnes has long been valued as a malt for blends and first appeared as a single malt in the Flora & Fauna range in 1991.

Brave New Spirits selected this bottling for Cask Masters, a series of single-cask whiskies focusing on different cask types and maturation paths. Within the series, this Benrinnes belongs to the Distiller’s Cut selection; Brave New Spirits bottled the whisky from cask 2311807/2013 at 55.6%.
