Benromach 25 y.o.
Special features: The Benromach 25 years is a Scottish single malt whisky from the renowned Benromach Distillery in Speyside. This whisky matures for 25 years in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, with each cask being filled by hand. The bottling takes place in a premium box and is non-chill filtered. With an alcohol content of 46%, it reflects the careful craftsmanship and tradition of the distillery.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: The nose reveals ripe berries, toffee apple, and vanilla dominate, accompanied by soft smoke. Dried banana and tropical fruits round off the aroma.
- Palate: On the palate, juicy raisins and orange notes meet tropical fruits. Dried banana and ripe oak provide a balanced depth.
- Finish: The finish is long-lasting with sweet raisins, soft smoke, and a subtle spice from ripe oak.
Distillery/Bottler: The Benromach Distillery was founded in 1898 by F.W. Brickmann and John Callum and is located in Forres, Scotland. In 1993, the independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail took over the distillery and reopened it in 1998. The annual production is about 150,000 liters. The storage takes place in traditional Dunnage Warehouses, which contributes to the character enhancement of the whisky.
