Lemon Days pairs Berliner Luft’s characteristic peppermint with lemon flavour. It belongs to the Day & Night range, for which Schilkin developed two deliberately contrasting fruit flavours: lemon for Lemon Days and blueberry for Blueberry Nights. Both versions were launched in January 2024.

The liqueur is bottled at 18% alcohol in a 0.7-litre bottle. Served well chilled, it can be enjoyed neat; its combination of lemon and mint also lends itself to cocktails and long drinks, for example with tonic water.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, fresh, ethereal lemon notes meet peppermint.
• Palate: On the palate, distinct lemon flavours meet cool peppermint and pleasant sweetness. The citrus fruit accentuates the mint’s freshness.
• Finish: Citrus notes linger through the long, refreshing finish, gently accompanied by peppermint. The aftertaste is not overly sweet.

Distillery/Bottler:

Berliner Luft is produced by Schilkin in Berlin-Kaulsdorf. The family began producing spirits there in 1932. Following the destruction of the Second World War, Sergei Schilkin led the rebuilding of the business. The company was expropriated in East Germany in 1972 and returned to family ownership in 1990.

Alongside Berliner Luft, the range includes vodka, gin, brandy and herbal liqueurs. The peppermint liqueur provides the basis for numerous flavour variations. Schilkin thus combines its classic spirits with editions that complement mint with different fruit and dessert flavours.
