Special features: The Black Bottle Blended Scotch Whisky combines whiskies from seven Islay distilleries and therefore carries the nickname "The Heart of Islay". This robust Scotch impresses with its increased smokiness, perfectly balanced by the proportion of grain whisky. In the practical 0.05-liter miniature bottle, it is excellent for tasting or as a gift.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Fresh fruit notes with caramel and vanilla, accompanied by a hint of peat smoke.
- Palate: Pleasantly smooth with flavors of brown sugar, chocolate, and apples, underlined by spicy peat smoke.
- Finish: Rather short with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg.
Distillery/Bottler: The Black Bottle Blended Scotch Whisky was created in 1879 by the Scottish tea merchants Charles, David, and Gordon Graham. Originally intended for private use, the whisky quickly gained recognition due to its unique character and was bottled in a specially imported black glass bottle. Today, the Black Bottle is produced by Burn Stewart Distillers and consists of various Islay whiskies.
