Bladnoch 13 y.o. Single Malt - Bourbon Cask - The Galloway Collection

Volume: 0.7 litres | Alcohol content: 46.7% | Chill filtration: No | Colouring: No

Special Features:

This 13-year-old Lowland single malt from the Galloway Collection was matured exclusively in ex-bourbon casks. Its maturation is therefore confined to a single cask profile, without any additional wine- or sherry-cask finish.

Its character combines floral and grassy freshness with honey and citrus. Violet, fresh apple and wood spice add further depth to the palate before the whisky concludes on a sweet and refreshing note.

The whisky is bottled at 46.7%, is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colouring. The bottle contains 0.7 litres and comes in gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals delicate floral notes, honey, refreshing citrus and freshly cut grass.
• Palate: On the palate, floral violet and fresh apple combine with subtle wood spice.
• Finish: The finish is sweet and refreshing.

Distillery/Bottler:

Bladnoch Distillery produces and bottles this single malt itself, and the whisky is matured exclusively in ex-bourbon casks. It is Scotland’s southernmost distillery and uses water from the River Bladnoch along with malt from British producers.

Bladnoch’s licensed history began in 1817, when John and Thomas McClelland obtained a distilling licence for their Lowland farm. David Prior acquired the company in 2015 and initiated an extensive renovation; after two years, the distillery resumed production in 2017.
