Bladnoch Alinta PX Sherry & Bourbon Cask Matured - 43,4%

Volume: 0.7 litres | Alcohol content: 43.4% | Chill filtration: No | Colouring: No

Special Features:

Bladnoch Alinta interprets the Lowland style with peated malt. The single malt matures in ex-bourbon and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, combining sweet cask notes with a distinct campfire character. It is bottled at 43.4% without chill filtration or added colouring.

The name Alinta means fire or flames in several languages spoken by Indigenous communities in southeastern Australia. In keeping with the name, its smoky character ranges from campfire smoke on the palate to a long, sweet and smoky finish.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals smoky ice cream, delicate floral notes and sweet oak.
• Palate: Campfire smoke, almonds, raisins and white chocolate come together on the palate.
• Finish: The finish is long, sweet and smoky.

Distillery/Bottler:

Bladnoch Distillery produces Alinta as a peated Lowland single malt and releases it as a distillery bottling. The distillery is independently operated.

John and Thomas McClelland founded Bladnoch in 1817. David Prior acquired the distillery in 2015 and had it extensively renovated. With Alinta, Bladnoch presents a deliberately smoky interpretation of the Lowland style.
