This 30-year-old blended grain brings together whisky from previously used ex-bourbon hogsheads and ex-sherry octaves. That Boutique-y Whisky Company combines it in small batches of around 1000 litres. The whisky is bottled at 45.8%, without chill filtration or added colouring.

Honeycomb, red grapes and buttery shortbread meet butterscotch, freshly baked biscuits and soft chocolate. Waxy orange peel and polished oak complement the sweet notes, while cedarwood and white pepper add spice.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose offers honeycomb, red grapes and distinctly buttery shortbread, accompanied by waxy orange peel, polished oak and a light floral note.
• Palate: On the palate, the whisky is dense and full-bodied, with rich butterscotch, freshly baked biscuits and soft pieces of chocolate.
• Finish: Cedarwood and a hint of white pepper linger in the long finish, while the whisky feels smooth and silky.

Distillery/Bottler:

Founded in 2012, That Boutique-y Whisky Company is an independent bottler that selects whiskies from different distilleries and creates its own blends. Its Core Range, introduced in 2023, consists of permanently available releases that are still produced in small batches.

The labels illustrated by Emily Chappell each tell their own story. On the label of this 30-year-old blended grain, a fully grown stag represents the whisky’s age.
