Created for travel retail, the single malt first matured in American white oak casks that had previously held bourbon. It was then transferred to Sauternes barriques from Bordeaux and is bottled at 48%.
Clementine and lemon bring a fresh edge to the sweetness. Honey and grapes sit alongside baked apple, cinnamon and candied ginger, with butterscotch and vanilla rounding out the impression. Heathery peat remains a discernible counterpoint.
