A finish in Palo Cortado casks shapes this release from Cadenhead's Original Collection. Glen Elgin-Glenlivet distilled the single malt in 2012. Cadenhead's transferred it to Palo Cortado casks for further maturation in 2023, then bottled it in May 2025 after a total of twelve years at 46%.

Its character combines salty, savoury notes with apple, almonds, honey and red fruit. Cadenhead's bottles its whiskies without chill filtration or added colouring.

• Palate: On the palate, almonds mingle with pear poached in red wine and natural honey.
• Finish: The finish leaves notes of strawberry-and-cream sweets, pomegranate and cranberry.

Distillery/Bottler:

Glen Elgin Distillery is in Fogwatt, in Scotland's Moray region, and was founded in 1898. For many years, it primarily produced whisky for blends; an official distillery bottling was released as a single malt in 1977. Clear wort, long fermentation and slow distillation contribute to the fruity yet substantial character of its spirit.

William Cadenhead Limited traces its origins to a wine and spirits merchant founded in Aberdeen in 1842. The company has belonged to J & A Mitchell & Co. Ltd. since 1972. As an independent bottler, Cadenhead's selects casks from its Campbeltown warehouses for the Original Collection to showcase the character of different distilleries.
