Special Features:

This Cameronbridge Single Grain was distilled on 24 December 1998 and matured for 27 years. After its initial maturation, James Eadie gave it a further 66 months in refill Marsala hogshead number 358026, made from European oak. In 2026, 314 bottles were filled at 52.7%. The whisky is neither chill-filtered nor coloured.

The Marsala finish adds vinous accents to the creamy grain character. Dried fruit, caramel and gentle spice combine with candied citrus notes and the sweetness of a dessert wine.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, honeyed grain and vanilla cream mingle with dried apricot and soft, fruity wine notes, while oak remains a subtle hint in the background.
• Palate: The whisky is silky and rounded on the palate, with toffee, sultanas and golden syrup accompanied by gentle, warming spice.
• Finish: The long, smooth finish leaves lingering sweetness, light oak and delicate dried fruit.

Distillery/Bottler:

Cameronbridge is located in Fife and was founded by John Haig in 1824. In 1830, it became the first distillery to produce grain whisky using the column-still process developed by Robert Stein. Today, it is one of Scotland’s major grain distilleries and supplies whisky for Johnnie Walker, among others.

James Eadie is an independent Scottish bottler of selected single casks and small batches. The Distilleries of Great Britain & Ireland range recalls 124 distillery profiles published between 1922 and 1929, which James Eadie later republished as a standalone volume. For the range, the bottler selects whiskies for their distillery character and harmonious flavour, releasing them in limited quantities at natural colour and without chill filtration.
