Chairmans Reserve The Forgotten Casks (in GP) New Packaging
Special Features: Chairman's Reserve The Forgotten Casks is a rum from St. Lucia, offered in a gift packaging. This blended rum ages between six and eleven years in ex-bourbon barrels and then undergoes a final maturation in oak barrels for an additional six months. The bottling is based on rums that come from the original barrels of Chairman's Reserve, which were saved from a fire. This limited edition offers a special character that was too old for the regular blend.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: On the nose, there is an intense bouquet of sweet raisins, surrounded by tobacco, vanilla, and oak.
Palate: On the palate, the rum is wonderfully balanced between the sweetness of tropical fruits and fine spices.
Finish: The finish reveals a long, wonderful aftertaste with lingering soft spices.
Distillery/Bottler: Chairman's Reserve is produced by St. Lucia Distillers, which uses both Coffey and pot still distillates. After distillation, the rum initially ages in separate batches in ex-bourbon barrels before the various rums are blended and aged for an additional six months in oak barrels. St. Lucia Distillers offers a limited bottling with "The Forgotten Casks," which results from carefully selected rums for additional aging.
