Special Features:

This seven-year-old Clydeside combines the Glasgow distillery’s fruit-forward style with an ex-Madeira cask finish. Distilled in 2019 and bottled in 2026, the Single Malt underwent its final maturation in cask F19. The Madeira finish deepens its sweet, fruity profile with ripe and candied fruit, citrus, caramel and warm spice. This single-cask edition for the German market was limited to 338 bottles.

The whisky was made from 100% Scottish barley and water from Loch Katrine. It was bottled at 55%, without chill filtration or added colouring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose combines ripe stone fruit and tropical hints with floral honey, vanilla and marmalade. Raisins, soft caramel and subtle oak complement the fruity bouquet.
• Palate: Candied fruit and lively citrus notes meet creamy toffee and caramel on the palate. Spicy oak provides structure, while nutty accents add further depth.
• Finish: The long finish lingers on bitter orange peel, dried fruit and a hint of nuts. Warm spices and caramel fade slowly.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Clydeside Distillery began operating in 2017 in Glasgow’s restored Pumphouse. Built in 1877, the building once controlled access to Queen’s Dock and stands directly on the River Clyde. The distillery brought whisky production back to Glasgow’s waterfront after an absence of more than a century.

The Clydeside was founded by Tim Morrison and his son Andrew, who now leads the distillery as Managing Director. The Morrison family’s experience in the Scotch whisky trade spans more than a century and encompasses trading, blending and distillation, as well as the former ownership of Bowmore, Glen Garioch and Auchentoshan. Morrison Glasgow Distillers operates the distillery and is responsible for its official bottlings. Its house style centres on clean, approachable and fruit-forward Lowland malts with bright orchard fruit, gentle sweetness and delicate spice.
