Special features: This 10-year-old Highland Single Malt was bottled by Signatory Vintage as part of the renowned 100 PROOF Edition. It matured in a combination of refill Oloroso Sherry hogsheads and new oak hogsheads, resulting in a powerful and complex flavor development. It was bottled at a strong 57.1% ABV (100 Proof), without chill filtration and without the addition of coloring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Inviting aromas of citrus fruits, green apples, and a clear beeswax note, accompanied by heather-like honey and a hint of salty minerals.
• Palate: Full-bodied and oily with a robust 100-proof intensity. Citrus notes and malty sweetness lead, followed by creamy vanilla and the characteristic waxy texture. The new oak brings a dry spiciness, while the refill Oloroso casks add nutty depth and a touch of cocoa.
• Finish: Long and slightly dry with lingering beeswax, lemon oil, and spice notes. Towards the end, tannin-like tea aromas, roasted wood, and a subtle bittersweet citrus note emerge.

Distillery/Bottler: The Clynelish Distillery, located in the Scottish Highlands near the coastal town of Brora, is known for its characteristic waxy style and floral aromas. Signatory Vintage, founded by Andrew Symington in the late 1980s, is an independent bottler known for its careful selection and bottling of single casks. Under the Signatory Vintage banner, Symington and his team create various series in which special whiskies from single casks are bottled at different strengths.
