Cherry fruit is at the heart of CRAFTVOL. Brennkirsche. This cherry brandy belongs to the double-distilled CRAFTVOL. range, which uses regional fruit in a two-stage process comprising a stripping run and a spirit run. It is bottled at 40% in a bottle containing 0.5 litres.

Its aromatic range combines fruity cherry with vanilla, marzipan and delicate bitter notes. The soft impression on the palate complements the delicate fruit aromas.

• Nose: The aroma recalls fully ripe cherries, accompanied by a restrained marzipan note.
• Palate: The spirit feels soft on the palate and lingers for a long time.
• Finish: Delicate bitter notes emerge on the finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

Manufaktur Jörg Geiger in Schlat grew out of a distillery. Working with fruit brandies prompted an in-depth exploration of traditional fruit varieties and their aromas. Processing also involves taking the varying yields of the WiesenObst trees into account: the manufactory uses particularly abundant harvest years for distillation.

The distillery uses a two-stage distillation process. In the first run, the aromas are collected in the low wines towards the end of fermentation. For the spirit run, these low wines are slowly heated in a copper still. Over six to nine hours, the individual fractions are separated and the heart is selected. The house's general practices also include ageing its brandies for several years and gradually bringing them to bottling strength with spring water over several months.
