Special Features:

CRAFTVOL. Mirabelle is made through two successive distillations: an initial stripping run followed by a spirit run. For this range, the manufactory uses selected fruit from its region. The mirabelle plum brandy is bottled at 40% alcohol in a 0.5-litre bottle and contains no colouring.

Its character combines ripe mirabelle plum fruit with floral accents and roasted notes. Spicy and bittersweet impressions provide a contrast to the fruity sweetness.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Mirabelle plums take centre stage on the nose, accompanied by delicate rose notes.
• Palate: Fruit and stone-fruit kernel notes are balanced on the palate. Cinnamon and dark chocolate complement the flavour.
• Finish: The finish retains a delicate fruity sweetness with a subtle stone-fruit kernel note reminiscent of almonds.

Distillery/Bottler:

Manufaktur Jörg Geiger is based in Schlat. Its work with fruit brandies prompted an in-depth exploration of heritage fruit varieties. Its distillery also helps make use of the fluctuating yields of meadow orchard trees: in particularly productive years, fruit is fermented and distilled, allowing its aromas to be preserved for a long time.

Its methods include controlled fermentation and double distillation. The distillates are then matured for years in wood, glass or stainless steel, depending on the brandy. CRAFTVOL. brings together the manufactory’s sought-after distillates, while particularly rare brandies are offered separately.
