Special features: This 16-year-old single malt from the renowned Cask Strength Collection by Signatory Vintage presents itself at a natural cask strength of 56.8% ABV. The maturation in a first fill Oloroso sherry butt gives it a complex depth with intense sherry notes. The limited release consists of only 671 bottles, offered in a protective metal tube. Unfiltered and without coloring, this drop preserves its natural complexity.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Lush aroma of sweet dried fruits like raisins, dates, and figs, accompanied by dark caramel and sticky toffee.
- Palate: Full-bodied and powerful with bittersweet sherry notes, followed by a fruit compote of cherries, blackberries, and currants. Also, slightly bitter walnuts, roasted almonds, and spicy oak aromas, as well as freshly brewed, intense espresso.
- Finish: Long-lasting, dry, and spicy with impressions of roasted nuts, oak, cocoa, and leather, accompanied by a mix of black pepper, orange peel, and cinnamon.
