This single-cask bottling brings Dailuaine’s robust, full-bodied style together with full maturation in a first-fill bourbon hogshead. Distilled in 2015, the Speyside single malt matured for ten years in cask 2561601/2015 before Brave New Spirits bottled it for Cask Masters in 2026. The cask yielded 316 bottles at 52%; the whisky is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colouring.

The cask maturation highlights vanilla, orchard fruit and baking spices without obscuring the whisky’s substantial underlying character. Its broader aromatic profile combines ripe apple and yellow fruits with malt, caramel and toffee, while cereal and oak give structure to the full, robust profile.

Within the Cask Masters range, this bottling belongs to the Golden Proof line. Brave New Spirits positions this tier around 50% ABV and selects first- or second-fill casks to maintain a balance between cask and spirit. The range comprises single casks bottled without chill filtration and with each bottle individually numbered; Golden Proof sits alongside Distiller’s Cut and Rare & Exclusive.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose combines vanilla cream, apple and pear with gentle oak spice.
• Palate: The whisky is full-bodied on the palate. Orchard fruit, honey and baking spices mingle with vanilla cream biscuits, fruit sweets and malt, while vanilla paste and dry bourbon-cask spice provide structure.
• Finish: The finish is smooth and elegant. Vanilla and oak linger, leaving a dessert-like sweetness.

Distillery/Bottler:

Dailuaine was established in Speyside in 1851. Only around 2% of its annual whisky production appears as distillery bottlings, while most goes into blends such as Johnnie Walker. An independent single-cask bottling therefore presents the distillery beyond its customary role as a supplier for blends.

Based in Glasgow, Brave New Spirits manages casks, selects and combines whisky, and handles bottling. For Cask Masters, the independent bottler selects individual casks and discloses their age, cask type and bottling details; at a strength of around 50%, the Golden Proof releases aim to balance the distillate with the influence of the cask.
