Dingle Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey - Bourbon, Oloroso Sherry, PX Sherry & Red Wine Casks
Special features: This Dingle Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey masterfully combines the aromas from a blend of bourbon, Oloroso sherry, Pedro Ximénez sherry, and red wine casks. The triple distillation in traditional copper pot stills and the maturation in these selected casks give it remarkable depth and complexity. Bottled at 46.5% ABV, without chill filtration and without coloring, it is presented in a newly designed bottle that reflects the distillery's close connection to its home Dingle.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Inviting aromas of lime zest, fresh mint, and sweet pears, accompanied by a hint of honey and vanilla.
Palate: Full-bodied and balanced with notes of caramelized apples, raisins, and a fine oak spice.
Finish: Persistently spicy with a sweet honey finish that underscores the complexity of this whiskey.
Distillery/Bottler: The Dingle Distillery was founded in 2012 by brewers Oliver Hughes, Liam LaHart, and Peter Mosley. It is located in a former sawmill in the town of Dingle in southwestern Ireland. The distillery places great emphasis on quality and tradition, which is reflected in its handcrafted whiskeys. In addition to whiskey, Dingle also produces gin and vodka.
