Special Features:

Long maturation defines this vintage Armagnac: distilled in 1992, the grape spirit matured for 33 years before being bottled in 2025 as an official Domaine de Baraillon bottling. It comes from Bas-Armagnac in southwestern France and is bottled at 45% without added colouring.

Its character combines fruit, fine tannins and mature notes of leather and tobacco. The bottle contains 0.7 litres and comes in a wooden box. A tulip-shaped glass at room temperature is suitable for enjoying it neat.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, peach and apple mingle with tropical fruit notes and floral impressions. Sweet figs enrich the bouquet, with orange and a light hint of spice adding further accents.
• Palate: The Armagnac is soft and delicate on the palate. Its fruity sweetness recalls jam, with a hint of tannin lending it structure.
• Finish: Leather and tobacco carry the long finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Claverie family has farmed Domaine de Baraillon in Lannemaignan since 1748. The estate lies in Bas-Armagnac, on the border between Gers and Landes. Its 20 hectares of vineyards grow on sandy clay soils known locally as Sables Fauves. The grape varieties include Folle Blanche, Colombard and Baco.

Run by SCEA Claverie, the estate distils its spirits using the traditional Armagnac method, at a distillation strength of 52%. Maturation takes place in regional oak casks in the estate’s historic cellars. Winegrowing, distillation and ageing are therefore all part of Domaine de Baraillon’s own production.
